Prof. Dr.sc. Nikolai Genov is President of the Research Centre "Regional and Global Development" (REGLO). He is Professor at the Institute of Eastern European Studies and at the Institute of Sociology in the Free University, Berlin.

Research fields: social theory, social change and development, globalization, assessment and management of social risks. He is the author of more than 250 publications in 25 countries, among them 38 books. He has been fellow and visiting professor in Germany, Italy, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Sweden and the USA. He has organized numerous national and international sociological studies. Currently he is Director of the UNESCO-ISSC International Summer School Comparative Research in the Social Sciences

Assoc. Prof. Dr Yantsislav Yanakiev is Vice-president of the Research Centre “Regional and Global Development”. His research interests concern the sociology of armed forces, analysis of the risks and the challenges to national and regional security, civil-military relations and problems of the democratic civil control on the armed forces, international co-operation in the field of defence in Southeastern Europe. He has been a fellow of the NATO Defense College in Rome, Italy. He has about 50 publications in Bulgaria and abroad. He has been organizer of numerous national and international sociological studies.

Dr. Elisaveta Ignatova is Managing Director of the Research Centre “Regional and Global Development” (REGLO). Her research interests and publications are in the fields of social transformations, management of social risks, social policy.She has been organizer and participant in national and international research projects. She is currently Secretary of the UNESCO-ISSC International Summer School Comparative Research in the Social Sciences.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dimitrina Dimitrova is a co-founder and former Secretary of the Research Centre “Regional and Global Development”. She is Senior Specialist at International Labour Organization Office`. Her research interests concern industrial relations, globalization of work, work organization, development of the trade unions, gender and work. She has 40 publications in Bulgaria and abroad. Organizer and participant in numerous national and international research projects.

Dragomir Draganov is Research Fellow at the Research Centre "Regional and Global Development" (REGLO). He is an expert at Bulgarian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and is a lecturer in social sciences at University of World and National Economy - Sofia. His research interests are in the fields of social welfare, poverty, social exclusion, social protection.
